The people of the Caribbean have been through an imperceptible 2 weeks, having weathered 3 major hurricanes over the past 13 days. Hurricanes Irma and Maria wreaked havoc in the Caribbean region, our home, sadly causing loss of life, numerous areas to be significantly damaged with some being deemed uninhabitable and resulting in many persons being displaced. We are resilient though and together we will rebuild.

Unfortunately, some persons have used the devastating circumstances left in the wake of Hurricane Irma to create and spread malicious rumors about the NAGICO Group. To eliminate any doubt the Shareholders and Board of Directors of the NAGICO Group wish to reassure its stakeholders, in particular its policyholders, that NAGICO is a financially strong and stable institution. The NAGICO Group maintains an exceptional reinsurance program backed by the world’s largest and strongest A rated reinsurers. As NAGICO has consistently done in the past, after every catastrophe, it will honour its obligations to each of its policyholders and settle their claims in a timely manner in accordance with the policy conditions.

We are proud of the NAGICO Team who has been very proactive and diligent with the management of the hurricane claims, having established and communicated multiple channels for customer reporting, including an online platform which was available to clients immediately after the passage of the storms. Our dedicated staff, agents and brokers, despite also suffering losses, have been working relentlessly to satisfy our customers’ needs and our team of adjusters are also actively visiting our clients as we deliver on our promise of fast and fair claim settlement.

The NAGICO Group remains steadfast in its commitment to help its policyholders and the Caribbean region rebuild.

NAGICO Insurances celebrates 35 years of excellence

NAGICO Insurances is celebrating its 35th anniversary. This milestone accomplishment is being commemorated throughout the territories in which NAGICO operates with a series of special events, under the theme of: “Proud of our past, excited about our future”.

“This celebration marks 35 solid years of excellence in service to our customers, since we opened our doors on St. Maarten in 1982 and we at NAGICO are very excited about reaching this milestone, as we have seen many insurance companies come and gone over the course of these years,” Marketing Manager, Lisa Brown said. “We are extremely proud of our accomplishments, because we have over the past 35 years, built a stellar reputation, one which not only has made us a major player in the insurance industry, but one which has defined us as the most trusted insurance provider based on our service, offerings and our community involvement.”

In observation of the 35th anniversary, NAGICO has launched a new product, the NAGICO Pension Plan under which they offer the opportunity to create a financial security net for yourself upon retirement. This Pension Policy, called EPIC (Entity Pension Insurance Contract), will be followed by several other exciting products and promotions throughout the course of the year for all their loyal and prospective customers.  EPIC is a very flexible policy, one that can be done as an Individual or as a Group pension plan. All NAGICO Pension Plans are customizable and offer guaranteed interest rates.

NAGICO Insurances best of BVI

NAGICO Insurances is delighted to announce that NAGICO BVI has been awarded the ‘Best of BVI Businesses’ award in the category of ‘Best Insurance Agency BVI’.

The Best of BVI Businesses Awards are an initiative of the BVI Department of Trade, Investment Promotion and Consumer Affairs and is part of their first annual Trade Entrepreneurial Week. This week is set up to stimulate the business sector in the territory and enforce the importance of businesses to the development of an economy.

The categories of the awards was focused on businesses that are being used by the public in everyday life and it was the people of the BVI who decided which businesses were the best. The voting was done via voting stations which had been set up throughout the island and online voted was also an option as well. The response by the public was huge and the number of votes exceeded the organization’s expectations.

The NAGICO Team BVI was represented by Ms. Chyna Whitaker and Ms. Shaquilla Smith who proudly accepted the award. Not only did NAGICO BVI win in the Best Insurance Agency category, the team was also received the award for the ‘Business with the Most Overall Votes’.
