We are seeking an IT Helpdesk Support Officer to join our IT team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for employees experiencing technical issues. You will analyze and resolve hardware, software, and network problems, ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations across the company.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, network, and telephone issues via phone, email, or messaging.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems, escalating complex issues to senior team members when required.
Assist in installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, Microsoft-based applications, and operating systems.
Manage user accounts, including setup, modifications, and password resets.
Support software updates, security patches, and system upgrades.
Provide basic training and create user-friendly guides to improve technology usage.
Help track and maintain IT inventory (hardware, software, licenses, warranties).
Monitor system performance, security alerts, and report anomalies.
Document procedures, solutions, and FAQs for the IT knowledge base.
Collaborate with IT colleagues to ensure efficient support and share knowledge.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Experience
High School Diploma required; further IT qualifications preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar IT support role.
Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented and committed to quality.
CompTIA A+ or equivalent industry certification is an asset.
