Customer Service Representative (Saba
The Customer Service Representative provides support to the Saba branch office operations namely in the areas of underwriting, customer service and claims.
This position is based in Saba
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service
· Serves customers by providing accurate product and service information and resolving enquiries and issues.
· Processes insurance application forms and related documentation.
· Prepares insurance policies, including renewals, motor vehicle inspections and standard correspondence.
· Monitors lapsed policies and follows up with customers as required.
Cashiering
· Receives premium payments and issues receipts to customers.
· Prepares production lists and submits them periodically to Head Office for review and processing of payment entries.
Underwriting
· Consults with the Supervisor on the acceptance of insurance applications, including decisions to accept, rate, decline, postpone or reconsider risks within approved authority limits.
· Ensures compliance with established underwriting guidelines and procedures.
Claims
· Collects relevant information from insured persons or designated parties for the settlement of general property and casualty claims.
· Provides administrative and claims-related support to insured and injured parties
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
· Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, with at least three (3) years’ experience in a similar role.
· Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills, with excellent oral and written English.
· High level of accuracy and attention to detail in report writing, data preparation, and information entry.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to remain calm and tactful under pressure.
· Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and as part of a team.
· Sound knowledge of office administration procedures, professional telephone etiquette, and strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
· Self-motivated, disciplined, reliable, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
