Claims Handler

As a Claims Handler you are responsible to obtain information from insured or designated persons for the purpose of settling general property and casualty claims. You must assist clients during all the phases of any claim and ensure that the correct steps are taken, including the calculation of total damages and the proposed budget. You will have to work closely with the Claims Adjusters in order to provide timely and accurate information to the client.

REQUIREMENTS:
    • MBO qualification in a related field;
    • One to three years’ experience in a similar role;
    • Excellent interpersonal skills;
    • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing & entering information;
    • Able to relate to a wide range of people;
    • Tactful, patient and calm;
    • Empathetic, diplomatic and fair;
    • Good analytical skills;
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in Papiamentu, Dutch and English.
