NAGICO Insurances is a dynamic, financially strong and innovative insurance provider employing over 400 professionals in various functional areas throughout the Caribbean.

For our Corporate HR Department, we are currently seeking the services of a dynamic HR professional to join our team. The Corporate HR Department is responsible for the development of HR strategy and execution of key HR activities within the NAGICO Group of Companies. In addition, The Corporate HR team also manages the day to day HR operations of the Company’s Head Office located in St. Maarten.

PROFILE

As HR Officer, you will report to the HR Manager and support the HR function by independently performing a wide variety of professional tasks and projects.

The role requires a desire to address the people needs of the organization by effectively applying your knowledge and expertise on HR practices, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations. At NAGICO, we can provide you with opportunities to further expand your HR experience by working on assignments with a regional scope.

You will also work along team members to support the day to day operational needs of the department which includes coordinating various HR initiatives, events and interacting with people at multiple levels within the organization. A service-minded attitude is therefore essential to this role.

We are looking for a professional who is result-oriented and can easily adapt to our fast paced business environment. The ideal candidate is a self starter, team player, exercises leadership skills and has the ability to establish effective relationships within the organization.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business or related field or equivalent education, training and experience;
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in sizable organizations with regional/international operations;
  • Working knowledge of local employment legislation;
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing in English. Multi-lingual skills would be an asset;
