Junior Policy Administrative Clerk

The Junior Policy Administrative Clerk is a member of the life administration team that provides efficient and effective office administration and support services to the Life & Health Division by executing the administrative functions, procedures, and policies. The Junior Policy Administrative Clerk participates in the administrative processes and projects within the company and evaluates and processes life insurance applications in accordance with company policy guidelines, in order to provide an efficient and effective service to agents, brokers & clients.

Main Duties & Responsibilities include:

Administration:

  • Provide general clerical and administrative support to the Life Department such as maintaining records related to job function, composing, and typing letters, memorandum, completing and submitting various forms, preparing, and sending out billing notices and correspondence

Customer Service

  • Provides high-quality customer service that is accurate, polite, and competent to brokers, customers, business partner, team members and superiors
  • Keeps track of customer interactions and transactions including compliments complaints and action taken. Follows up as needed and/or as instructed

Error Checking

  • Check client’s accounting history and update the policy, their payment book, and dates accordingly

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance on file is up to date

Claims

  • Process various claims (death, disability, dismemberment, pension surrenders, life surrenders, loans)

Underwriting

  • Coordinate and prepare underwriting file for the underwriter.

Main Requirements include:

  • High School Diploma or GED required/ Bachelor’s degree is a preferred
  • Strong knowledge/ prior experience in Medical/Life Insurance
  • Experience with a Life Insurance software / Knowledge about FIMMAS is a plus
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure accuracy in the information and advice provided
  • Good Organizational skills
  • Attention to details
