Group Treasury Manager

Location of position:

This position can be based out of one of our main Finance locations


What can you expect?

Reporting to the Group Investment Manager, the successful candidate will lead and be responsible for managing the Group’s Treasury activities across all territories.

We will count on you to:

  • Own, establish and monitor liquidity risk and foreign exchange (“FX”) risk appetite for the Group and its subsidiaries
  • Manage liquidity and FX risk, including running liquidity and FX scenario and stress testing and recommend risk mitigation strategies
  • Establish and implement strategies to maximise short- and medium-term liquidity
  • Establish strategies for accessing liquidity to cater for unforeseen liquidity needs
  • Manage medium and long-term funding needs and current arrangements
  • Advise and manage the Group’s capital structuring and funding (loans, equity) and capital flows (dividends, interest, management fees etc.)
  • Manage treasury operations and controls (cash pooling/sweeping, forex sourcing and hedging etc.)
  • Manage foreign currency exposure, foreign currency payments and net foreign currency risks at individual entity level and at Group consolidated level
  • Advise on group internal FX rates
  • Manage banking relationships (including account opening and closing), covenants and counterparty risks
  • Establish appropriate information flows and processes with inputs and outputs to the Treasury function as necessary
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the processes and resources to improve and maximise the effectiveness of the Treasury function
  • Develop information requirements and deliverables (e.g. dashboards) to satisfy the requirements of the role and the reporting requirements to stakeholders including the Board of Directors
  • Liaise with the Finance team to obtain relevant information for the role such as cash flow plans and forecasts
  • Co-ordinate with the rest of the Investment Department on execution of investment recommendations
  • Drive treasury specific projects/initiatives across the region
  • Ensure adequate records are maintained to satisfy external and internal audit processes


What you need to have:

  • Demonstrated ability to work as team player, able to collaborate with other work streams in Finance and the business and to help develop compliant and operationally practical solutions
  • The incumbent must have the ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Understands investment, treasury, operational, regulatory and compliance risks to make day-to-day decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with proven ability to explain Treasury-specific concepts and processes to the Finance teams, business and senior stakeholders
  • Fluency in all aspects of English
  • Bachelor’s degree, with preference for quantitative fields such as Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or other related disciplines
  • Minimum five (5) years working experience in a similar role
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) Level 2, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or similar qualification preferred
