NAGICO SPONSORS THE V.C.G CYCLING CLUB

Philipsburg, St. Maarten: NAGICO Insurances continues to show its’ dedication to local sporting organizations by agreeing to once again sponsor the French cycling outfit, Velo Club De Grand Case (V.C.G.) for the upcoming 2009 season. V.C.G which is based in Grand Case received a total of $2500 which will go towards supplying all of the team’s 41 cyclists with uniforms. NAGICO, who has sponsored V.C.G for the last 3 consecutive years, got on board with the well established cycling club as the head sponsor after a successful 2008 season.
“V.C.G is pleased to have NAGICO sponsoring the team for another year” stated President Arnell St. Elmo. “We pride ourselves on the many achievements that have been accomplished during our 32 year existence” he continued. Since its’ inception in 1976, V.C.G. has participated in races on St. Maarten, Guadeloupe and Anguilla, recently placing (1st) first and 2nd (second) in The Chapotin Memorial for the senior and junior divisions and winning the junior division of King of the Hill race.
Currently V.C.G’s number one objective is to become the top cycling club in Anguilla, St. Maarten and Tortola while increasing its status on the Guadeloupe cycling circuit. “We would like to thank NAGICO Insurances for the support we have received and are looking forward to the future for continued assistance. We promise to bring victories to club and our sponsor” St. Elmo stated.
