NAGICO BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT HALF COURT SHOT WINNER

2008 NAGICO Basketball Tournament fan, Firpion Teddy (left), showcased his skills at the half court line to be declared the winner in the half court shoot out taking home $200.00.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten - The Nagico basketball tournament was filled with excitement in the form of basketball games and dance shows but there was one event that allowed for crowd participation, the half court shoot out. Starting with $50, the amount was eventually raised to $200 before Firpion Teddy made the extremely difficult shot.
There were approximately 11 persons, young and old who attempted to make the shot before Firpion stepped up to the plate. After making the basket the entire stadium erupted in applause for the 17 year old Teddy who proceeded to collect his prize money and run back to his seat where he was showered with praise from his peers.
