Philipsburg, St. Maarten: The NAGICO Celebrity Basketball Game on Sunday 31st August 2008 at 6:00pm is going to be match between (2) two teams of professionals in their respective sectors. Stepping on the court representing the private sector are going to be players who are coming out to prove themselves as the better basketball team. A lineup of NBA-like proportions will be competing for their respective charity and title of winner of the NAGICO Celebrity Basketball Game.
Participating on the evening for the private sector would be Samuel Allen Jr. from PJD2, Roberto Wilson better known as Mama’s Pearl from Pearl FM, Calypsonian The Mighty Dow and The Philosopher of Humor Fernando Clarke just to name a few.
The willingness of local celebrities to participate for a good cause has been over-whelming and the general response to the NAGICO Celebrity Game has been extremely positive.
Not only have celebrities been willing to participate in the charity event, but several business and individuals have made donations of services by discounting or full donation of costs. Sound 2000, Duzon Catering Service, DJ Patrice, Steven Cyrillian, Personalized Creations and Motiance Dance are companies and individuals who have come forward.
Those persons unable to attend can still catch the action by listening to a live broadcast of the event thanks to the Kind assistance of PJD2 and Telem. Telem has kindly donated both the line installation and the call time for the broadcast.
