The United Kings and the Killerbees will be putting their perfect records on the line as both teams face off in a Dutch vs. French match up. The highly anticipated game is scheduled to "tip off" tonight at 9:00pm at the L.B. Scott Sports Auditorium.
The Killerbees who have played against top teams such as the Saints and the Sunz will now face the Kings who have achieved a record of (5) wins and (0) losses. The Killerbees have been a dominant force on the St. Maarten basketball scene for several years with their most recent achievement being reaching the finals of the SMBA tournament on the French side. After an exciting playoff series the Bees eventually lost to a very tenacious Warriors team.
The Killerbees' key to success this particular season has been their all star-lineup of players in the form of Dede Michel, Javel Flanders and Dean Sterling. The ability to run text book plays flawlessly can also be attributed to the overall success of the French Quarter team.
The Sucker Garden United Kings has been on an incredible run since the competition began. The team is mixture of star players that has been put together to be able to compete with the top ranked teams on St. Maarten. Players such as Louis Jeffers, Hilroy Johnson and Clive Gario brought a wealth of experience with them when they came over from the Spartans to the Kings. The Kings' greatest advantage is its offensive abilities which recently resulted in the King's being the first team to achieve 100 points during the competition. With two titans of the NAGICO Basketball Tournament facing off against each other only one will leave with the title of undefeated.
