NAGICO JETS GET NEW UNIFORMS DONATED

St. Maarten June 5th, 2008

Philipsburg, St. Maarten -The Nagico green will once again take a predominant place on the softball fields of the island, the "colors" will be worn by The Jets, a team which has been sponsored by NAGICO for the past six years. The female softball team was at the insurance company's headquarters to show of their new Nagico uniforms of green, white and gold. The uniforms will be used in all the locally and regionally played games in the upcoming season that will start in January 2009.

The future of the NAGICO Jets will be characterized by a determination to improve the previous season's results of reaching the playoffs; this time they are out to win, and fly their sponsor's colors even higher.

This past season was especially difficult for the team when their founder and biggest fan Thelma Gumbs passed away. To honor "Thelma" as she affectionately was know, the Jets have placed her name on the sleeve of every uniform.

"Ms. Thelma was always on the field to support the team" stated Dulce Doran, third baseman for the Jets, "since 1982 she always there". Even though Ms. Thelma is no longer physically present her spirit is still felt as the players readily shared stories about their beloved founder.
