NAGICO Sponsors Motiance Dancers For The Kingdom Games

Philipsburg, St. Maarten: NAGICO Insurances provided a donation to several dancers from the Motiance Dance School on Friday July 17th 2009, as they prepared to represent St. Maarten at the upcoming, Kingdom Games in Aruba. A total of six (6) dancers were selected to perform during St. Maarten’s opening presentation on July 21st, 2009. During a 15 minute multi-media presentation the girls will display various aspects of St. Maarten’s using poetry, storytelling, gymnastics and dance. This year’s Kingdom Games are currently underway having started on July 21st and finish on July 28th, 2009. Motiance Dance School’s Office Manager Veronica Antoine stated, “I think that NAGICO is always there for the youth. Whenever you knock at NAGICO’s door they are always there willing to help.”
After the initial presentation the dancers will attend various workshops over the course of their stay. Each workshop will focus on a different dance style that all the performing dancers of the various participating islands will perform on the closing night of the Games. A student of the Motaince Dance School, Ms. Khimouy Antoine stated, “The dancers are very excited to be able to travel and represent St. Maarten at this upcoming event. We are really appreciative of the assistance that NAGICO has made available to us. NAGICO is always willing to help in any way they can. NAGICO always makes an effort to try and assist the community and that is what sets them apart.”
The NAGICO sponsorship went towards the costumes that will be worn by dancers during their presentation. The outfit will consist of a top that will be made to look like the St. Maarten Flag while the skirts will contain different symbols of island.
