BVI Stuns USVI to Win by Four Wickets.

Bottom of the table teams USVI and BVI played against each other in the fifth round action of the 2008 NAGICO Sponsored One Day Cricket Competition. The match which was played at the Edgar Gilbert Playing Field in Molyneaux saw USVI taking first strike.
Bating first after winning the toss USVI made 135 all out in 42 overs. Their total was build from a solid 51 made by Dyle Jones who sent the ball to the boundary ropes five times while he also hit a six in his innings.
Andy Lesmond contributed 28 which included three fours and one six to add valuable support.
BVI's bowling was spearheaded by the dependable Maxford Pipe who bagged four for 28 from nine overs. Dereck Agusite and Sheldon John supported with two wickets each for 24 and 34 runs from nine and ten overs respectively.
Replying to USVI's total BVI made 137-6 from 33 overs. Leading the run chase was Dereck Augusite who returned with the bat to make 33 runs. His knock included four fours and one six. Allan McGowan supported very well while remaining to the end to see his team through, he made 33 not out including three fours. Kurvin Charles was the pick of the USVI bowlers with two for 37.
BVI won by four wickets. USVI is at the bottom of the table after losing all of their matches so far in the competition.
