Control & Compliance Officer

Summary of Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Help to ensure a system is in place which ensures that all major risks of the Company are identified, analysed and addressed on an ongoing basis.
  2. Plan, organise and carry out the internal audit reviews throughout the Company.
  3. Complete various financial filings/reports for the Central Bank, regulators in the other islands and various other external organisations.
  4. Assist with the development, initiation, maintenance, and revision of policies and procedures for the general operation of the Control & Compliance Program of the Company.
  5. Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk. Together with management, develop and implement corrective action plans.
  6. Provide reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the Managing and Supervisory Boards informed of the operation and progress of control & compliance efforts.

Required Qualification & Experience

  1. Relevant professional qualification Masters degree
  2. Five (5) years audit experience with a Big 4 audit firm, including at least two years as Audit Senior (or equivalent).
  3. Very strong analytical skills.
  4. Good knowledge of financial statements preparation and presentation under IFRS.
  5. Good written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of Dutch would be an asset.
  6. Previous experience within the insurance industry &/or with working within a regulatory environment would be an asset.

C# Developer

Summary of Duties & Responsibilities

The primary responsibility will be to participate in the design, testing and development of various software applications. Responsibilities will also include solution documenting, design and implementation, participation in formal and informal reviews and interaction with other team members and teams to ensure technical solutions meet the overall system requirements.

Required Qualification & Experience

  1. Appropriate C# and Visual Basic.NET qualification, with strong Windows Forms experience.
  2. Solid backgrounds in .NET development and software engineering, with structured object oriented design.
  3. Candidates with a minimum of 3 years experience to be given priority.
  4. Microsoft Certifications such as MCP, MCSD or MCDBA would be a plus.
  5. Must be able to follow a disciplined system/software development process, understand a wide range of .NET Enterprise technologies, and be familiar with .NET tools development and integration.
